Restorative Hospitality at the Cottage
A Place of Rest and Renewal for Christian Leaders
How is this arranged?
To arrange a stay at our cottage, simply get in touch with us via our website contact form or email. We’ll discuss your preferred dates, answer any questions, and guide you through the booking process. We aim to make things as straightforward and welcoming as possible, so you can focus on preparing for your time with us.
Who is eligible?
Our restorative hospitality is offered specifically to Christian leaders—whether you’re in full-time ministry, part of a church leadership team, or serving in a mission context. If you’re in need of spiritual renewal and respite, we warmly invite you to consider a retreat with us.
How does it work?
As part of the booking process, we will have a conversation with you to understand what you are looking for. Sometimes, if we sense you might need something different to what we can offer, we will suggest other retreats we work in partnership with.
We live in a quiet rural location. The space is designed to foster quiet reflection, prayer, and restoration. You’re free to structure your retreat as you wish, with opportunities to enjoy the natural surroundings, read, and recharge both body and soul. Intentional conversations with prayer, exploring the issues of leadership, church life and personal faith are offered. We try to provide gentle hospitality and support, respecting your privacy and personal rhythm.
What is the average length of the stay?
Most guests stay between one and five nights, according to your needs and availability. This flexibility helps you make the most of your time away, whether you need a brief escape or a more extended period of refreshment.
What does a day on retreat look like?
A typical day begins with a leisurely breakfast, followed by time for personal prayer, reading, or walking in the nearby countryside. There is no set timetable, allowing you to rest, reflect, or seek guidance as you feel led. We’re available if you’d like a listening ear or conversation, but the pace and focus of your retreat are yours to choose.
How much does it cost?
We believe that rest and restoration should be accessible, so we offer our cottage on a donation basis. There is no fixed charge, but if you’re able to contribute towards the costs of your stay, it helps us continue to serve other leaders in need. Details on suggested donations and practical arrangements can be provided upon enquiry.
