Church Leadership Team Retreats at the Cottage
Refresh, Reflect, and Reconnect in a Peaceful Setting
Our leadership team retreats are designed especially for church leaders seeking focused time away together. Set in the tranquil surroundings of our country cottage in the Blackdown Hills, we offer you and your team an ideal setting to step back from the day to day pressures of church life and gain fresh perspective.
Why are Team Retreats so Helpful?
Retreats are an investment in the well-being of your team and the health of the whole church. They are an opportunity for you to focus on the important rather than the urgent. Retreats invest in relationships, vision, and wellbeing. They create space for open dialogue, renewed enthusiasm, and deeper trust. Most importantly, a retreat is Jesus focussed. Jesus is already present and already at work among you. Discerning what he is doing in you, in order that he can do more through you is the retreat journey. Retreats are also a time for accelerated progress in vision and unity. We have often found that teams accomplish in 48 hours what would have taken 6 months of normal meetings to achieve.
What types of Retreats does Jubilee leadership Offer?
- Vision & Strategy Retreats: Ideal for clarifying your church’s direction, setting goals, and mapping out plans together.
- Team Building Retreats: Focused on strengthening connections, communication, and trust through guided activities and reflection.
- Spiritual Renewal Retreats: Space for prayer, worship, and spiritual refreshment, tailored to help leaders recharge their faith and passion.
- Bespoke Retreats: We’re happy to tailor the retreat format to your team’s unique needs and focus areas.
How large a team can we accommodate?
Our cottage can accommodate leadership teams of up to 10 people for day retreats, providing various spaces for working both as one group but also with the option of additional ‘break out’ rooms. For overnight accommodation, we have 2 double bedrooms and one single bedroom at the cottage, plus the option of hospitality locally.
In good weather, there are plenty of spaces available outside in the garden, plus the opportunity of walks in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
What to Expect: A Typical Retreat Schedule
Most retreats run for two days, with a flexible schedule that usually includes:
- Guided sessions led by us

- Group activities designed to build trust and creativity
